What is Skepticamp?

Skepticamp is an informal conference in which audience members participate, either as speakers or organizers (or both). In other words, the speakers are the audience members.

Skepticamp talks are related to skepticism, science, and critical thinking, including, but not limited to topics such as paranormal investigations, alternative medicine, and psychic phenomena.

How much does it cost?

Zero Dollars!

Skepticamp is free and open to anyone.

How do I participate:

To be an audience member, please register on the eventbrite page.

As an audience member, we hope you are engaged and ready to participate by asking questions, providing additional info the speaker may have left out, or expressing counter-points.  Please do all of this in a respectful manner: the goal of this event is to learn from each other.

For a speaker’s slot:

In addition to registering with eventbrite, please email Dale Roy at with your name and topic/title.  Speaker’s will have 15 minutes, including Q & A.  This can be broken up as a 10 minute talk followed by a 5 minute Q & A.  Or, if you wish, it can be a 15 minute talk with questions allowed throughout the talk.

Side note:

Questions and audience participation is part of the deal.

Please make yourself available and do not discourage or be discouraged by questions, additional points, or counter points.   There will be 5 minutes in between speakers for set up.

Technology availability:

You may present your talk in almost any manner you wish.

We will have a projector and screen available for your use.  If you are using Power Point or Keynote, please send your presentation to the technology/logistics guru: Travis Roy email:
